FAQ

I saw a guy on YouTube Hypnotise a group and convinced them they were chickens, Is that what you do?

In short, no. Sadly, this is not a magic trick. I don’t have a residency in Vegas or any desire to hear you quack like a duck. If that desire even arrises, I’ll be sure to let you know. Clinical Hypnotherapy is not the same as stage Hypnosis. On stage, it may seem as if the patron is asleep, or unaware of what they are doing. We want you to be fully aware of what is going on. If you are not aware, then you are asleep, which means you are taking an expensive nap. Sleep learning has been disproven much to the dismay of my father, who is still trying to learn French as he sleeps.

So what is Hypnosis then?

The best description that I have is that Hypnosis is a curious, detached, parallel awareness. It is a natural state that we visit all the time. You just might not know it. For example, when you’re engrossed in a really good book and you lose track of the time. Or when you’re daydreaming and your mind has drifted off to a different planet. Hypnosis is the same sensation. We’re changing the brain frequency to silent the conscious mind, and open up your subconscious mind. Pretty cool, huh?

What is it like?

It’s like sitting on the beach with a cocktail in your hand. A feeling of utter tranquility and peace. Deep relaxation. You’ll be aware of outside noises and movements, this is all perfectly normal. You may or may not be able to remember everything afterward, but at the time you will hear everything that is being said. We are all incredibly different, some people go into a very deep trance and remember nothing at all afterward, others remain in a light trance, which can work equally as well. Sometimes it will come over you in waves. The best piece of advice I have is to simply surrender to the feeling, and let it wash over you like a warm blanket. That sounds pretty good, right?

So you won’t make me quack like a duck?

You are I control at all times. But at the same time, you are also very deeply relaxed. If at any point you want to, you can open your eyes and become fully alert. If you quack like a duck, it has nothing to do with us. You can’t reveal secrets or do anything you don’t wish to do. You are the captain of this ship, we are simply the navigators. People do not act like robots, nor are they powerless pawns of hypnotic suggestions.

So how does it work then?

During this relaxed state, your subconscious mind is open and receptive to the suggestions given to you, providing that they are suggestions that you wish to take effect. You will only accept suggestions that you feel are in your best interest. The way you’ve been operating is that then when A happens your mind goes to B. You’ve decided that you no longer want the mind to go to B, you want it to go to C. The issue being, how do we do it? We teach the mind the new process to discover the possibilities of finding C. The more we work together the easier the other options become, and suddenly B is no longer your go-to reaction, C is. Training, patience, and discovery. Not rocket science or magic. Just shifting your process.

How do you know this will work for me?

To put it simply, we don’t. We are all incredibly different people and react differently to different treatments. What I do know is, the more open to the experience you are, the higher chance of success. Yet again, you are the Captain of your ship. We can only do so much as the guest navigators. If you are willing to put the work in, we can get some incredible results.
